Today, multi-platinum, four-time GRAMMY-nominated rock band Goo Goo Dolls have announced they will release the deluxe edition of their acclaimed 12th studio record Miracle Pill on July 10th, 2020 via Warner Records. In addition to the smash title song “Miracle Pill” and the band’s latest single “Fearless”, the special album will deliver three never-before-heard tracks including “Just A Man,” a powerful & lush new song that was written and recorded in London with producers Martin Slattery and Antony Genn (The Hours).  

Grindcore / hardcore punk veterans VENOMOUS CONCEPT (featuring band members of BRUTAL TRUTH and NAPALM DEATH) will be releasing their fourth full-length, ‘Politics Versus The Erection’ on August 28, 2020! The album art and tracklist can be found below. In conjunction with the announcement, the band has shared “Lemonade,” the first single from the upcoming offering.  

Valkyrie, the Rockbridge County, Va. band who MetalSucks said “have riffs tailor made for the big wide open: mountainous, thunderous, booming and earth-shaking,” have released a second song from the quartet’s forthcoming album, Fear (July 24, Relapse Records), debuting the track “The Choice”  

September 2019 saw melodic death metal juggernaut, The Agonist, release their sixth studio album, Orphans, via Rodeostar Records.  With Orphans the band delivered their most extreme, melodic, and larger-than-life sounding record to date.</  

Rage are back from the Corona crisis with a double bang: as had already been rumoured behind the scenes, guitarist Marcos Rodriguez has left the band. To replace him, vocalist/bassist Peavy Wagner has welcomed two new stringsmen to the Rage fold. New addition Stefan Weber (ex-Axxis) was introduced to the public at the METAL HAMMER online show in early May, now the band has presented its second new member, Jean Bormann (formerly Angelic, Rage & Ruins).  

Texas metal quintet POWER TRIP surprises fans this week with a new release, issuing a crushing new live album. Live In Seattle 05.28.18 was issued overnight through Dark Operative and is now streaming in its entirety on all digital platforms.

Finland’s LANTERN have been illuminating death metal’s dark passages since 2007. Fresh off 2019’s Lost Paragraphs EP (also on Dark Descent Records), LANTERN returns with their third full-length of timeless death metal titled Dimensions. Dimensions sees LANTERN continuing on their established path by incorporating melodic lead work and memorable riffs with distinctive vocals of Necrophilos. It’s the perfect balance between the band’s 2013 debut Below and 2017’s II: Morphosis. The six new tracks on Dimensions further entrenches the band as one of death metal’s elite.
