Bona fide heavy metal front woman and activist OTEP Shamaya has rallied up the tribe and is ready to deliver the first LIVE album of her career, entitled Sounds Like Armageddon, out November 6th. If you haven’t had a chance to see her in action now is your time to hear her roar.  

New York vets DEHUMANIZED have set November 27th as the release date for their long-awaited return to action, Controlled Elite.

Metallica today announced that they will release a live DVD entitled “Quebec Magnetic” on December 10, 2012. The DVD captures the two World Magnetic live shows which took place in Quebec City in the fall of 2009.  

Dark Descent Records has recently inked (in blood) a deal with London blackened death metal band Lvcifyre for the release of their as-of-yet-untitled sophomore full-length, which is due out in early 2013. The band commented:

Today we are bombarded with news of The first official trailer from the upcoming Iron Man 3 movie. So remember at the end of The Avengers movie, when we see Bruce Banner drive away with Tony Stark to what we assume was Stark Tower? Well, are we to assume that Banner is bunking at the tower while he gets his own pad? Check out the trailer for Iron Man 3 and ask yourself…are those Banners legs in the scene… post Hulk?  

A&M/Octone recording group Flyleaf announce the departure of long time singer Lacey Sturm today.  

Chicago’s epic doom metal act EARTHEN GRAVE announces that the band has parted ways with longtime drummer Scott Davidson. Davidson played on the group’s 2009 Dismal Times debut EP and recently-released full-length album Earthen Grave.  

70’s inspired hard rockers, BLOOD OF THE SUN, featuring ST. VITUS drummer Henry Vasquez, will release Burning on the Wings of Desire in North America on November 27th on Listenable Records.
