Greek symphonic metallers NIGHTFALL have completed work for their new album, Cassiopeia, which is set for release in January 2013 through Metal Blade Records. The recordings took place in four different places, a fragment process that which NIGHTFALL is quite familiar with. Vocals and keys were recorded in Greece (Soundflakes studios & Cyberia) while the drums were tracked in Germany in the Soundlodge studios. Guitars and bass were recorded in the U.S. in Nashville, Tennessee at Boomcave studios.

Apocryphon, the fourth album from The Sword attains the highest chart and sales debut of the band’s career this week debuting at number 17 on the Billboard Top 200 with over 16,800 units sold.  The album released on Razor & Tie also debuts on a series of other Billboard charts including #2 on Hard Music, #4 on Rock, and #26 on Digital.  Apocryphon is available now at the iTunes store.

Green Day announced today they will cancel their club tour that was due to launch in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre on September 26th and wind down in Tempe, AZ at the Marquee Theatre on December 10th.  Tickets for these clubs shows will be refunded at point of purchase.   Additionally, Green Day will postpone all scheduled appearances for the months of January and February 2013.  New dates for these rescheduled shows will be announced shortly and previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new dates.

Three years. Three years is the amount of time that fans have waited to hear the latest work from fallen Gorgoroth members Gaahl and King. After a vicious dispute over rights to the name Gorgoroth, a new love child rose from the ashes of battered metal music, God Seed. Gaahl and King formed a new project with material meant for their previous band. An album in the works since 2009. A lyricist who has no dedication to finishing a a product without the most sincere hint of perfection added.
