Good morning, my name is Zack de la Rocha I’m the lead singer of Rage Against the Machine. Welcome to everyone here. Friday July 23rd is a very important day for us, for a couple of reasons. One because it will be the first concert that Rage has played in Los Angeles in 10 years.  

30 years, 80 million album sales, close to 2000 live performances, countless satisfied customers and now 15 studio albums of unerring quality and power: Iron Maiden have more than earned their proudly-held status as undisputed heavy metal champions of the world. The bands 15th Studio Record the Final Frontier is due out on August 17th.  

Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated hard rock band Disturbed have announced a special pre-order of their new album Asylum.  The pre-order is available now. Asylum will be released on Reprise Records August 31, 2010.  

As part of the ongoing celebration of their 20th anniversary, Sweden’s Opeth is releasing live footage and audio from the band’s recent performance at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall. In Live Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, due out September 21st, is a fierce testament to Opeth’s continued success in the progressive metal community.  

Lynch Mob is getting ready to embark on a summer tour in support of their current release “Smoke and Mirrors” on Frontiers Records. The band line-up for this tour consists of George Lynch (shred master), Oni Logan (vox), Michael Devin (bassologist) and Brian Tichy (time-keeper).

Ibex Moon Records regretfully announces that the last four dates of the Campaign For Death Metal Purity Tour, featuring Gravehill, Cardiac Arrest and Hod, will not go on as planned.  

On July 27th, Indiana’s INVASION will unleash their Rotting Corpse Records debut, Orchestrated Kill Maneuver. Sticking with their tradition of finding the sickest and most extreme bands the underground has to offer, Rotting Corpse Records promises nothing but pure, unadulterated brutality from the newest addition to their roster.  

Heavy metal’s two lovable goof balls seem to be on the verge of returning to their famous couch in 2011. Word has it that the show that Kip Winger blamed for his career demise will be coming back to MTV and creator Mike Judge will helm 30 new episodes to air on the cable channel.
