Tickets sold out in only thirty minutes for the legendary German band RAMMSTEIN‘s December 11th performance at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden in New York City. This will be the only US show by the Berlin-based six-piece band, who have not performed in the United States since 2001.

Holland’s symphonic metal band EPICA will be returning to North America once again to headline a tour in support of their 2009 release, Design Your Universe, which debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers chart at #12 and the Top Hard Music Albums chart at #47 for first-week sales in excess of 2,000 copies. Also on the bill are the Swedish masters of melody Scar Symmetry and Canada’s Blackguard.
After the long slumber of COC since Pepper Keenan moved to devote his time primarily to Down, the original members of COC, Woody Weatherman, Mike Dean and Reed Mullin, took a step back and started kicking it old school by touring around their first 3 releases with songs which hadn’t seen the light of day on stage in close to 20 years. When the trio stormed into New York’s Highline Ballroom on October 10th, their hardcore/ thrash roots stormed through like a Carolina hurricane.
Swiss extreme metal act, Triptykon, will kick off their first ever North American tour, the “Weltenbrand Tour 2010”, tonight in New York City. Norway’s technical black metal band,1349, and Chicago’s veteran progressive metal act, Yakuza, will round out the package on the highly anticipated North American live debut of the 2008 project created by Tom Gabriel Warrior (Celtic Frost, Hellhammer). The month-long voyage is sure to be this fall’s heaviest tour.
Former Misfits axe man Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein’s solo project, Gorgeous Frankenstein, have released their first DVD, You Must See It To Believe It! today. The 40-minute thrill ride directed by Glenn Danzig, features eight blood curdling tracks including “ Man or Monster,” “ Devilgirl,” “ Reverse of God,” “ Made In Hell” and more. In addition to the live tracks, the DVD features never before seen behind-the-scenes footage from Gorgeous Frankenstein’s 2008 U.S. tour. The disc also contains a previously unreleased video for “Man or Monster.”
