It’s been four long years, but hardcore heavyweights, Ringworm, have finally resurrected with their fifth assaulting and vicious album Scars, out July 19th. Twenty years after their 1991 birth in Cleveland, Ringworm rises above with the brutal new release to remind fans why they are the pioneering visionaries of the hardcore genre known as “crossover.” The extreme hardcore veterans fiercely knock out the competition with the unleashing of their most heavy-hitting, thrash-inspired metal album yet.
The mighty Cannibal Corpse will once again be returning to Latin America! This time, they’ll be bringing along label mates The Black Dahlia Murder as well as fellow underground heavyweights Suicide Silence to Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Venezuela in December. The tour will begin on December 3rd in Sao Paulo, Brazil and will wrap up on December 13th in Mexico City, Mexico.
Thrash metal quintet, WRETCHED, has officially announced a U.S. summer tour in support of the anniversary of their sophomore album, Beyond The Gate, bringing along two industry-veteran replacements to contribute to the band’s already superior musicianship; new vocalist, Adam Cody, whose GLASS CASKET performance was an early inspiration to the band, and new bassist, Andrew Grevey, formerly of LOCULUS.
EGYPT CENTRAL fans have spoken. They’ve been raving about the album on the band’s Facebook and Twitter pages since the May 31 release of the Memphis band’s highly anticipated WHITE RABBIT album. And now, thanks to those devoted and outspoken fans, the album will make its debut on SoundScan’s “Current Hard Music Albums” chart at #5 next week. It also debuts at #78 on Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums” chart.
