On March 29th, Whitechapel will release their 7th full-length, The Valley, via Metal Blade Records. Produced once again by Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder) and featuring artwork by Branca Studio, The Valley is a reference to the part of Hardin Valley (west of Knoxville, Tennessee) where vocalist Phil Bozeman grew up.

American death metal icons CANNIBAL CORPSE will close out the year with a final US headlining tour. The journey will commence on November 2nd in Columbia, South Carolina and wind its way through over two dozen cities by its conclusion December 6th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. If there’s one way to describe Daughters, it’s “enigmatic.” The grindcore-turned-noise rock outfit rears its head once again, coming back from the grave in full form. Granted, they reformed in 2013, but still… It’s only now that they’re putting an album out. If they weren’t doing anything then, this is the biggest deal for fans of the band since then. After their appearances with The Dillinger Escape Plan at the end of last year, Daughters went from being an underground act to… an… upper tier underground band? It’s hard to explain, but all of a sudden there were plenty of people who suddenly knew who this band was and were anxious for something new. Having not done anything but record since...

Jeffrey Nothing, also known as Jeff Hatrix, formerly the haunting voice and co-founder behind Cleveland’s alterna-metal and industrial collective MUSHROOMHEAD, has launched Hatrix Fest. The music festival is set to take place on Friday, October 26th in Cleveland, Ohio. The festival also features an appearance from former Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis and his band A Killer’s Confession, as well as local punk/hardcore legend Don Foose and his band Lifeline.
