NANOWAR OF STEEL, international masters of parody-metal, have pushed it to the next level and signed a worldwide contract with Napalm Records. Humor in metal is a rarity, but NANOWAR OF STEEL impressively boost its existence by mixing contrasting musical styles like ska and true metal, crafting a genre-fluid fun formation. The band was formed in 2003 in Rome (IT) and has been dedicated to tongue-in-cheek metal ever since. .  

At the height of their fame in 1977, southern rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, was struck with tragedy — a plane crash that killed the band’s founder and lead singer Ronnie Van Zant along with Steve Gaines, backup singer Cassie Gaines, assistant road manager Dean Kilpatrick, pilot Walter McCreary and co-pilot William Gray. I’ll Never Forget You: The Last 72 Hours of Lynyrd Skynyrd chronicles the story of three survivors: security guard Gene Odom, lead backup singer Leslie Hawkins, and guitar tech Craig Reed. These survivors give their firsthand accounts of the wild times of the band, the 72 hours leading to the crash, the harrowing crash itself and its aftermath.

NYC hard rockers Opulence will unleash their much anticipated debut album Black Magic on November 15th. The album will be released via Blacklight Media Records, in conjunction with Station House Recordings.

New Noise Magazine is currently streaming “Oil Money” from Norwegian post hardcore unit WOLVES LIKE US. The track comes by way of the band’s impending fourth full-length, Brittle Bones, set for release October 25th via Pelagic Records.

Thursday, October 3, 2019 – Bristling with an epically baroque life and energy, Cell-0, the ninth studio album by Finland’s multi-Platinum cello-rockers Apocalyptica, will be released on January 10, 2020 (Silver Lining Music).  The recording of Cell-0followed a four-year break between albums that gave the band – Eicca Toppinen, Perttu Kivilaakso, Paavo Lötjönen, and Mikko Sirén, all of whom are classically-trained musicians – a fresh perspective and affected the way they approached the new music.
