Bethesda has announced a new game with a horror flare, The Evil Within. This is the first game from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami’s studio Tango Gameworks. I feel like this is Behesda’s answer to Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us” but, we’ll see. Needless to say the trailer is creepy as shit. I can’t say that I’m surprised coming from the master mind behind Resident Evil. Check out the trailer below.

Those of us who are Zelda fans can say undoubtably that Zelda is the greatest franchise of all times. It challenges your problem solving, combat, and just plain tickles you in every gaming sense that it can. Personally, I can play through Ocarina of Time over and over again and never get sick of it. You can imagine my excitement when it came out for the 3DS. Well fellow Link followers, I have good news, or rather Nintendo does… A Link To The Past 2 has been announced for the 3DS!! Think you’ll be waiting years for it? Think again…. It’s coming out this fall.

I don’t think I’m the only on in thinking this game is blowing it’s load way too quickly. In October at New York Comic Con I remember there being a booth erected for the third game begging for preorders. No more than five month later at PAX EAST there was another booth built promoting the fourth game. I fully understand that Ubisoft has the means to produce epic games quickly, however, is the fan base going to be Assassin’s Creeded out by the time this new game is released?

Let me first start by saying that the ending to this game left me so mind blown that I didn’t move out of my chair or speak to anyone for a solid half hour after the credits had ended. I can also state that this franchise has been one of my favorites for the past decade. However, it wasn’t until four in the morning the night of completion that I had that Bioshock epiphany that really made the game so much more amazing to me.

I’m starting to realize more and more that Dark Horse has their hands on, around, and in everything that I love. They’ve merged with some of the biggest names in comics, television, movies, and gaming to produce some fantastic sub story lines comics. Joss Whedon is doing Angel & Faith, a Buffy/ Angel reboot through Dark Horse. There’s a bunch of Star Wars excitement going around. They even have a Dragon Age comic, even though it’s not choose your own fate. The newest arrival that made my inner nerd girl scream is a prequel to the highly anticipated Last of Us game from Naughty Dog.
