2015 was a busy year for SUNN O))). Following the recent release of the triadic entity Kannon — their first full-length album since 2009’s Monoliths And Dimensions — a series of magnificent European appearances, culminating in their curation of four days at Utrecht’s Le Guess Who? festival, the band now presents the news that their live album, Dømkirke, will see dawn of day again this February.

Chicago’s celebrated torchbearers of instrumental metal, PELICAN, will return to Europe for a string of dates this Spring. This marks the band’s first European tour since the successes of their innovative 2013 LP Forever Becoming and 2015’s 4-track EP, The Cliff — both released via Southern Lord — and their 2014 Arktika live 2xLP.

Passing their three decade mark this month, NEUROSIS has confirmed that the band will be returning to Electrical Audio in Chicago with engineer Steve Albini on December 27th to record their forthcoming brand new LP, their follow up to 2012’s Honor Found In Decay. Additional details on the album and its approximate release in 2016 will be revealed in the early months of the year.

THEORIES‘ “Burnt Concrete” from their recently-issued Regression full-length will be included in TONIGHT’s episode of You’re The Worst on FXX!

Italy’s dynamic instrumental rock trio, STEARICA, has just issued a pro-filmed, multi-camera live video of “Geber“, the track hailing from the band’s sophomore LP, Fertile. The “Geber” video is released as the band prepares to begin a sporadic new European tour this weekend, with shows throughout Belgium, Germany, Spain and Italy planned over the upcoming month.

Born of Osiris, the Chicago-based band who release their fifth full-length album, Soul Sphere (Sumerian Records), on Friday, are streaming the twelve-song release now in its entirety via YouTube.

Polish progressive grindcore unit, ANTIGAMA, has just launched a brand new video for the song “Eraser“, which hails from their seventh album, The Insolent.

Seattle’s favorite decibel abusers, THEORIES, will kick off a near three-week run of live demolitions later this week. Accompanied by iconic West Coast hardcore nihilists, The Infamous Gehenna, the band will level eighteen stages through five states from October 22nd through November 7th including a special Halloween matinee show at Los Globos with Catharsis, The Body, Thou, Full Of Hell and Heat Dust. See confirmed shows below.

Long-running, psychedelic doom conjurers, YOB, are readying to kick off a near month-long North American headlining tour with support from San Francisco riff peddlers, Black Cobra. Set to kick off on October 22nd in Boise, Idaho and run through November 21st in Oakland, California, the trio will conquer the stages of over two dozen venues including a special performance at this year’s edition of Philip H. Anselmo’s Housecore Horror Fest in San Antonio, Texas. As an added bonus and in celebration of the record’s ten-year anniversary, fans attending the November 5th show at Bell House in Brooklyn, New York will pay witness to the band’s performance of 2005’s mammoth The Unreal Never Lived...

The deluxe 12″ vinyl edition of DIE CHOKING’s debut LP, III, is out this Friday via The Compound Recs, following its digital release less than two weeks ago, as the band begins to hit the West Coast on tour in support of the album.
