The upcoming OZZFEST New Year’s Eve celebration has expanded its headlining bill of some of the greatest names in rock to include a second (outdoor) stage. Concert-goers will now have 10 hours of entertainment before they ring in the New Year. Set for Monday, December 31 at The Forum in Los Angeles, OZZFEST will kick off with live music at 2:30 PM with sets from Zakk Sabbath, Devildriver and Wednesday 13 on the outdoor stage. Early concert-goers will also get to sip cocktails while also enjoying offerings from a variety of food trucks which will be set-up throughout the outdoor performance area, all available for purchase. Food choices include Mess Hall Canteen, Burger Monster, The Viking Truck, The Coconut...

Jeffrey Nothing, also known as Jeff Hatrix, formerly the haunting voice and co-founder behind Cleveland’s alterna-metal and industrial collective MUSHROOMHEAD, has launched Hatrix Fest. The music festival is set to take place on Friday, October 26th in Cleveland, Ohio. The festival also features an appearance from former Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis and his band A Killer’s Confession, as well as local punk/hardcore legend Don Foose and his band Lifeline.  

Yesterday at New York Comic-Con, the joint-announcement from Marvel and Netflix confirmed that the release for the upcoming Marvel series based on The Punisher had been pulled from the Con in the wake of the Las Vegas shooting this week. The removal of the panel, however, wasn’t the end of it.  

Founded in 2016 and based in Fort Lauderdale, Sonic Night Music is an artist-centric hard rock and heavy metal record label. Searching for hidden gems that span classic sounds to innovative genre-bending bands, the label works to find great bands to bring to the heavy metal masses.  

The Shazam film has always been the wildcard in the DCEU line-up. It’s not that the property has been odd or out of place for DC, but the fact that we’ve only heard that Dwayne Johnson is slated to play Black Adam, with a possible Black Adam spin-off in development. The curtain seems to lifted ever so slightly, as Warner Bros. has finally shed some details on the upcoming superhero film.

The Godzilla franchise has been doing quite for itself since its resurrection in 2014. With the Legendary Pictures film doing quite well for itself critically and financially and Toho’s Shin Godzilla generating tremendous success in Japan, it would seem the deal between the two to share the iconic kaiju was nothing but good tidings for the companies.   

Organizers behind Chicago’s Riot Fest (September 15-17 at Douglas Park) unveiled the daily lineups for this year’s festival. Highlighting Friday night’s lineup is Nine Inch Nails, New Order, A Day to Remember, Vic Mensa and Ministry. Danzig joins in Saturday’s festivities alongside Queens of the Stone Age, Wu-Tang Clan, a DJ set from The Beastie Boys’ Mike D and At the Drive In.  

In conjunction with their massive upcoming tour, which includes the band’s maiden voyage to the US, Finnish cosmic black metal alchemists ORANSSI PAZUZU will release a special 10″ recording containing two new tracks, which are now streaming.  

IDW and WonderCon head to Anaheim, CA this weekend for the fan-favorite 3-day convention! Held at the Anaheim Convention Center from March 31st to April 2nd IDW will be set up all weekend long at booth #1109. In addition to big signings and essential panels throughout the weekend, IDW will also be hosting Traveling Stories at their booth, a San Diego-based non-profit committed to spreading literacy through community engagement.  

This year marks the first Blackest Of The Black Destination Festival. The brainchild of Glenn Danzig, the event not only serves as a music festival, but as a cultural experience: an escape. Coming to Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, CA in Orange County on Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 26th and Saturday, May 27th.
