Canadian heavy metal legends Anvil have signed a new recording contract with The End Records. As recently announced, the band is currently recording their upcoming album entitled Juggernaut of Justice at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Northridge, California with famed producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Airbourne, Filter, Atreyu, Alice Cooper). Juggernaut is due to be released in Spring 2011.

The performance was filmed in Germany on July 30, 2009 as part of the tour in support of their The Devil You Know studio album. Although nobody knew it at the time, it was to be Ronnie James Dio’s last filmed concert performance before his sad death in May 2010.

American dark metal pioneers Novembers Doom have commenced recording of their 8th full length studio album, entitled Aphotic. The album is set to be released on The End Records in Spring 2011. Aphotic is being recorded at Belle City Sound in Racine, Wisconsin with longtime Novembers Doom collaborators Chris Wisco at the controls and Dan Swano mixing.
