Continuing the Marvel – “ization” of film and TV, ABC has picked up Joss Whedons “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the Fall 2013 season. Included in the series is one Agent Coulson…which if you saw The Avengers, was killed by Loki. So how is Coulson alive in this series. Well I guess we’ll have to watch and see. By the way Marvel/Disney…a little more color in the cast please, this is 2013, it’s OK to have a Latino agent and/or an African American in a T.V. show. Check out the trailer below…  

Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman he passed at a hospital near his home…he was 49 years old. Hanneman was recovering from a “Flesh Eating” bacteria the past couple of years, and was not currently on tour with the band. The band stated he passed from Liver failure. More news as it breaks.  

It’s official, the Boston Comic Con, scheduled for this weekend 4/20 – 4/21 has now officially been cancelled. Metal Machine was scheduled to be a part of this years event. With all of the “lock down” situation in effect, it was almost inevitable that the show would be cancelled. Organizers are currently looking to reschedule the event to a later date. The new Man Of Steel trailer has just been “Unleashed” on the public (check it out below). If you examine it carefully, there are some major changes in the history of Superman. Would this happen to have anything to do with Christoper (Don’t Care about Character History) Nolan being producer on this film? Things that make you go HMMMM. We will be posting the changes here tomorrow.

Heavy metal icon collective DOWN has announced that they will perform a handful of headline dates this May. Kicking things off on May 23 in Birmingham, AL – the band will stop in 7 cities in the Southeast including Baltimore’s Maryland Deathfest, and wrap things up with a hometown show in New Orleans on May 31. 2013 is looking like another amazing year for metal and leading the charge is this years The Metal Alliance Tour. Back for their 3rd year of wrecking heads, this tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest metal tours in the past decade. This year festival organizers Dan Rozenblum and Steve Seabury of High River Entertainment will collaborate with and showcase their Metal Alliance Tour at this years New England Metal & Hardcore Festival on April 19th at The Palladium in Worcester, MA.  

ABSU today announces details on their upcoming tour, titled North American Connexus Conjuration. The 26-city tour will see the band perform two full sets with music spanning their 20-year recording career. It is the first full tour by the Texas-based mythological occult trio since the release of Abzu, the second of a planned trilogy of recordings.

News has been filtering out on the net that the big rumor is WB is high on Joseph Gordon-Levitt has signed on to play Batman in the much anticipated, still in the works Justice League movie. For all those who don’t know, Levitt played a primary role in the recent installment of the Batman Trilogy “The Dark Knight Rises” as John “Robin” Blake.

The upcoming tour, dubbed “The Weed & Speed Tour: West Coast Throwdown in the Year of XIII”, will kick off on January 11, 2013 in Houston, TX at Warehouse Live. The tour will make its way through several states, coming to a close on February 1st in Chattanooga, TN at Track 29.
