Metal God Entertainment and Rob Halford are pleased to announce the release of ‘Halford IV Made Of Metal¹ featuring fourteen (14) new Halford studio recordings debuting world-wide September 27th (UK & EU), September 28th (North America) and October 13, 2010 (Japan).  

Metal guitarist Jon Donais of the chart-topping metal band Shadows Fall will be featured in the sixth issue of the Eternal Descent comic book series slated for release later this year. The issue features a storyline inspired by “Embrace Annihilation”, a track from the band’s “Retribution” album. Jon sides with chaos, joining the nefarious Loki as a fathful servant of the damned. An allegiance with dire consequences, Lyra and Sirian must fight for survival, as the ground trembles and shadows fall.  

Riot Fest announces the largest  festival yet, set for October 6-10, 2010 in Chicago. Known for its punk rock, founder Riot Mike has broadened the fest to include just about every sub-genre, including hardcore, metal and everything in between.  Heavy bands confirmed this year are Corrosion of Conformity (playing in their original power-trio line-up for the first time in 20-odd years), High on Fire, Torche, Kylesa, Righteous Fool, Articles of Faith

  Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, David Lee Roth), Michael Graves (The Misfits), Jeff Duncan (Armored Saint), Marko DeSantis (Sugarcult) and Andy Hilfiger (bassologist/Fashion Guru) are the first fully confirmed artists to join Marky Ramone while he slams out a full concert of The Ramones. You will hear the music that defined many generations and inspired many bands. Marky’s set list is comprised of 31 historical Ramones songs such as SEDATED, K.K.K., PSYCHOTHERAPY, BLITZKREIG BOP, PINHEAD and more!     

  Cradle of Filth, one of Britain’s most notorious and infamous names in heavy metal, has unveiled the album art for their forthcoming ninth studio album, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, which is due out on November 9th on Nuclear Blast Records.   

Following seven historic shows as part of “The Big Four” European festival dates with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, Anthrax will join Slayer and Megadeth on the Jagermeister Fall Music Tour set to kick off September 24 at Superpages in Dallas, TX. The 20-date concert trek will mark the first U.S. tour Anthrax has done since vocalist Joey Belladonna rejoined the band earlier this year, and the first time the three bands have shared an American stage since the classic 1991 “Clash of the Titans” tour.  

On June 13, 2009, SLIPKNOT headlined the annual Download Festival in the UK, performing in front of 80,000 of their rabid fans. The performance was absolutely electric, in typical Slipknot fashion, especially since it came hot on the heels of one of the strongest years in Slipknot’s illustrious career.  

United Stations nationally syndicated radio shows HardDrive and HardDrive XL have announced the second annual HARDDRIVE LIVE TOUR 2010 branded and produced in conjunction with its’ weekend and nightly radio programs. The 2010 lineup for the fall concert tour features headliners Sevendust, 10 Years, with special guests Since October, Aranda and Anew Revolution. The excursion will begin in Augusta, GA on October 4th and is currently scheduled to arrive in 28 cities across North America by November.  

For the first time in its near 30-year history, Slayer, the single most distinctive and radical thrash metal band ever, will see its ten American Recordings albums released as a limited-edition, high-end box set – The Vinyl Conflict (American Recordings/Sony Legacy).  

  Aug. 12 —  Kylesa will release Spiral Shadow, the eagerly anticipated follow-up to their breakthrough album Static Tensions, on Oct. 26 via Season of Mist.   

Thrash legends OVERKILL will be re-releasing their record “Immortalis” and DVD “Live at Wacken Open Air” on October 5th, 2010 via eOne Music. This will be a CD/DVD combo release with three new unreleased live tracks. Those tracks are:  

  Newly signed to eOne Music, sludge metal legends CROWBAR will re-release three influential records, CROWBAR, LIVE +1 and TIME HEALS NOTHING on October 5th, 2010.  

  Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and political activist Serj Tankian has postponed the street date of his new solo album, entitled Imperfect Harmonies, in order to package the recording in the same tree-free paper he has used for his previous releases, including Elect the Dead and Elect the Dead Symphony. The eco-friendly paper was not available to create the packaging for Imperfect Harmonies in time to make the previously announced street date of September 7th.
