Classic Swedish death metal outfit N2002 has announced that all original members will reunite for their first ever performance outside of Sweden at this year’s Maryland Deathfest. N2002 will perform on Sunday, May 30th during this weekend-long festival that’s held every year in Baltimore, MD.

Norma Jean is back in the studio this month to record their fifth studio album and debut for new record label, Razor & Tie. The currently untitled album will be released this summer, and is being recorded in Atlanta, GA at Glow in the Dark Studios with producer Jeremy Griffith.

Las Vegas rockers Taking Dawn have been included on the soundtrack to the highly anticipated Gods of War 3 video game. The soundtrack (available March 2nd) will feature the unreleased Taking Dawn track “This is Madness”, as well as new and unreleased tracks from Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Dream Theater, Opeth, and Mutiny Within.  

Today marks the iTunes release of Serj Tankian’s Elect the Dead Symphony. On March 16th, 2009, the Grammy Award winner and one of rock’s most unconventional front men, took the stage at the majestic Auckland Town Hall in New Zealand with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra to perform a very special orchestral interpretation of his critically acclaimed debut solo album Elect the Dead.
