The biggest and most action-packed update to Grand Theft Auto Online yet is here: The Cayo Perico Heist.
“The Cayo Perico Heist is our way of getting everyone together to party and dance in the safest possible way while also giving players the chance to take on our biggest and best Heist yet,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “It’s been a difficult and challenging year, and we wanted to make something everyone could have some fun in – we’re really excited for you to play.”

The update marks the latest cultural event by Rockstar Games in Grand Theft Auto Online, with the addition of the new in-game club The Music Locker notably being one of the only immersive night life options available to most of the world at the moment. It’s an expansion of the continued engagement with club culture that has existed through Grand Theft Auto’s history and updates the in-club experience first introduced in Grand Theft Auto Online’s After Hours update in 2018. Cameos from real world musical superstars like Dr. Dre, Scott Storch and more further underscore the title’s affinity for creating cultural moments.

Building on the game’s reputation for supporting underground culture and also as a platform for music discovery, The Cayo Perico Heist will feature three new radio stations: Still Slipping Los Santos from UK DJ Joy Orbison; Kult FM hosted by Julian Casablancas featuring Mac DeMarco, David Cross and Tony Mac; and Music Locker Radio, bringing the club sounds of Moodymann, Keinemusik and Palms Trax to the airwaves of Los Santos. The Cayo Perico Heist also features major updates to existing stations, Worldwide FM with Gilles Peterson and FlyLo FM from Flying Lotus for a total of 250+ new tracks, including never before heard songs by The Voidz, Burna Boy, MF DOOM, BadBadNotGood, Tierra Whack, Moodymann, Flying Lotus featuring Mac Miller and more.

The Voidz’ new song “Alien Crime Lord,” which debuted on Casablancas’ KULT FM 99.1, is now available on all streaming services and will be performed by the band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Thursday night.

Speaking about the song’s inspiration, the band shares: “We wanted to make a song that sounded like Jean Claude Van Damme standing up on a speeding motorcycle while firing perfect bullets through the windshield of an oncoming nemesis, then finishing the job with a controlled flip over the top of the vehicle that ends in a maelstrom of denim and flames.”

The Cayo Perico Heist also introduces an array of exciting new weapons and vehicles including a new heavily armed Submarine, plus a host of new updates across the entire world.
