Everyone’s worst fear of a demonic clown comes true this weekend as It and the titular Pennywise are set to take over the box office this weekend.

Adapted from the Stephen King novel of the same name, It is the first in a proposed duology of films to focus on Pennywise and the children he terrorizes, first in their youth and then as adults. The teaser trailer has gathered over 100 million views and currently sits at and 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The box office forecast currently calls for an $81 million opening weekend. With $13.5 million from Thursday night previews alone, that seems like a likely possibility.
