After much speculation and patiently waiting, fans were finally treated to their first look at The Last Jedi, the eighth installment in the main Star Wars saga.

Following an extensive panel in which very little was said about the film and served as preparation for the main event, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, director Rian Johnson, and host Josh Gad all teased the audience by revealing a new poster for the film. However, soon after, the trailer was aired twice, all to the applause and overall positive reception of the fans attending. The trailer itself revealed very little, but much can be taken away from it in the little details.

The Last Jedi opens in theaters this December, two years after the release of The Force Awakens and a year after the first in an anthology film series, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
