Veteran actor and SciFi staple Bill Paxton has died at the age of 61 from complications of heart surgery. Paxton, a veteran of both movies and TV was one of hollywoods most versitile and durable thespians.

Best know for roles in block buster movies Aliens, Titanic, Predator II, and recently Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Mr. Paxton was one of the best at doing it all. One of his most iconic roles was that of private Hudson in the movie Aliens directed by James Cameron. Cameron would again use Paxton in the mega blockbuster Titanic, then the highest grossing film of all time. (Surpassed by Cameron’s Avatar). With an extensive resume that included such hits as Twister, Terminator, Tombstone and Vertical Limit, Bill Paxton was one of Hollywood’s most versitile actors. TV was also no challenge for Mr. Paxton. Tackling event series like The Hatfields and McCoys and Big Love for HBO. Paxton also hit it out of the park with his directorial debut in 2001 with the movie Frailty. Centeres around a father (Paxton) and his two sons as they go on a killing spree of supposed demons on earth. The movie also starred Mathew McConaughey in a break out role. Mr. Paxton was recently back on Television with the new series Training Day, based on the hit movie. No word on what now happenes to the show, or how deep into production the series was in.
