Clocking at a whopping 13 minutes, give or take, For Freedom’s Sake is a barn burner that just jumps on top of you and starts smacking the everliving shit out of you. Poison Tongues is built from a bedrock of detroit hardcore legends, and they don’t mess around. with the longest track (Keep Your Head Down) breaking the four and a half minute mark, they push and shove in every direction at once.

At the forefront is their energy and vocal delivery, that of shouting their anti-The Man ferocity straight into the listeners skull openings, while the guitars and bass just thrash like hell behind them, egging the riot into a frenzy of activity. Blasting drums sound like a salvo of heavy arms fire, alternating insane kick beats to keep up with staccato strumming meant to impress with no stress. Blast these tracks and you’ve just declared war in several countries.

For a ferocious new release, dropping November 2, 2015 from Fast Break!, you can’t get any better than what Poison Tongues is laying down. If you want a precursor to tide your hunger for destruction over, head over to their bandcamp, where you can snag Keep Your Head Down before the full album drops. Now go slam dance motherfuckers!
