» Blog Archive A new SciFi show is coming...VOYAGER -
The Big Kahuna News, TV

Imagine if INTERSTELLAR was a TV series where you could check in, week after week, to watch the characters tackle the uncharted territory of space. Now, imagine that YOU had a hand in dictating where they went, what they saw, and what they did; that you were part of a team of creators, like the characters, setting off on an epic voyage to discover the unknown.

You see, VOYAGER will not only be for the crowd, it will be from the crowd, offering more input and insights from the sci-fi and space travel communities than anything before. Unlike other sci-fi series, Voyager takes place in the present day when space travel is fueled and pioneered by bold visionaries and cynical entrepreneurs as they explore new worlds and the weird, terrifying reality of modern space travel. Biotechnology entrepreneur and investor Nabil Sioufi, VOYAGER’s creator and executive producer, is making it VOYAGER’s mission to be the most realistic show possible by using real science, turning science fiction into science reality.

Joining Nabil is prolific screenwriter and producer Richard Christian Matheson, son of award-winning novelist and screenwriter Richard Matheson (I Am Legend), whose many credits include last year’s Big Driver by Stephen King, Happy Face Killer, co-creating the HBO Cinemax comedy series Chemistry, Splatter, and Steven King’s Nightmares and Dreamscapes and Masters of Horror. He is also a New York Times critically-acclaimed author of several short story collections and novels, including Scars and Other Distinguishing Marks, The Ritual of Illusion, Created By and the Amazon #1 bestseller Dystopia. Richard most recently completed H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine as a four-hour mini-series for TNT, and Matheson Entertainment is currently producing a feature film re-boot of The Incredible Shrinking Man with MGM. Richard will work alongside Nabil Sioufi to create the series using the crowd sourced ideas given to them by backers of the project.

VOYAGER will be the first TV series of its kind, developed in part by its audience, and we want to know if you want to get involved, either by sharing our campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or anywhere else – the bigger the community we build, the farther we the Voyager team will travel – and space is a pretty big place!
