Today at E3 some very exciting news was released for Star Wars fans. Battlefield and Mirror’s Edge developer DICE is in the process of developing the Star Wars: Battlefront series. This announcement was released through a small trailer. The first we heard about this project was art month when EA announced that fans should expect to see a Star Wars/Disney announcement continuing in Star Wars flavored fashion. In May, EA announced it had secured exclusive rights to develop and publish games based on the Star Wars franchise as part of a multi-year licensing deal with Disney. Bioware and Visceral are also in the works of developing Star Wars games. More details are to come.
