At E3 this month, Microsoft will be allowing fans to play around with the Xbox One controller for the first time. Microsoft will hold an event on Monday, June 10th at the Microsoft Store in Century City from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pacific. According to Major Nelson’s blog, “members of the Xbox team as we show off Xbox One to the public for the first time.” In a description for the event it states that fans can, “see the Xbox One with your own eyes, plus take the Xbox One controller for a spin and see (and feel) for yourself the improvements we’ve made to one of the best controllers in gaming.” Major Nelson also toyed with some emotions saying that he “may have one or two other surprises there as well.” The event will be completely free, but “we expect a crowd, so I recommend getting there early.” This will be the first time that the console will be shown to the public after it’s announcement last month. Super exciting stuff. There is going to be a lot of making up to do considering that the one announcement for the console may have lost half of it’s fan base to the PlayStation 4. Hopefully Microsoft will also approach pricing of the new console considering that these systems are ridiculously priced considering the economy and the generality of their fan base being working class or students. We’ll see what tricks they have up their sleeves to rally the masses into being back on team Xbox. Perhaps some new game announcements will be in store as well. This is all speculation of course, however, I would like to see some massive public turning in hindsight of their latest blunder.

Microsoft’s E3 2013 press conference will take place on Monday, June 10th at 9:30 a.m. Pacific.
IGN reported on playing with the controller, here was there input on the ordeal.
