Fox Newses Jeanine Pirro decided to take up verbal arms in a speech against video game violence. An address at the NRA Annual Meetings—reported on by Raw Story— Pirro said the following:

“How dare you compare me to a nutjob on the lunatic fringe in desperate need of medication doing nothing but watching Hollywood’s blood-soaked movies and playing the liberal Hollywood’s violent video games for days at a time…”

OH SNAP! NO YOU DID NOT! You have got to be kidding me. So you’re telling me if you enjoy playing video games, watching horror movies, actions movies, or essentially any movies that have over a PG-13 rating you are a nut job that needs medication.
If you skip to 4:10 that’s really where the rant begins. If I may speak freely here, this is an utter and complete outrage. This whole implication of the MAJORITY of the United States being looped in with a very abrupt and attacking statement of generality is unsettling. So because I play video games, I’m clearly a mass murderer, and if I’m not, I should be medicated…. I’ll hop right on the bus to the looney bin then, lady. There has been so much controversy surrounding the recent attack on Boston and even previously Sandy Hook and it seems that the medias only target is gruesome images that are being shown to the populace by way of entertainment. This is horrendous and insulting. Can we also mention the complete misunderstanding that video games are produced by Hollywood. Do some research, friend. I understand that in a debatable concept one must rattle the crowd in order to get support, however this point is completely null, uneducated, and seriously disheartening. I hope that she realized how many people she just generalized, and how many people are going to lash out. Way to go lady, keep helping Fox procure and maintain that trusted name that we know and love so much. *rolls eyes*
