Finnish black metal act CAVUS has started laying down the tracks for the follow-up to their debut full-length Fester and Putrefy. The yet untitled album will feature songs like “The Art of Blood Purging” and “Unholy Water” and is being recorded in the band’s own studio in Finland. “The band just purchased some rats and locusts to roam their premises to advance the vile surroundings of their studio,” says vocalist W. “The old wooden building is condemned to be demolished in the near future so it will be the last album CAVUS records at the place simply known as “The Lair.”
The album is set to be released later this year via Listenable Records.

The first offspring of this alliance was a self titled EP, consisting of four hymns in the honor of plague and pestilence, that was released in 2009.
After live performances with bands like Mayhem, Behexen and Sólstafir in the autumn of 2009, Cavus signed a worldwide recording contract with French record label Listenable Records and a management contract with Finnish management company SSG Management Ltd.
Recordings for a debut album Fester and Putrefy started in February 2010, and released by Listenable Records September 27th in the EU and during October in the USA and February 2011 in South America.
