Opener Candlelight Red started the night off with tracks from their debut album ‘The Wreckage”, including their current radio hit Closer. Next up came Weaving The Fate, a funk/rock/metal/rap group from South Carolina. Their unique blend of styles was refreshing and unexpected. They played songs off of their new EP “WTF” which includes a mixture of catchy, upbeat songs as well as more serious rock tracks.

Aside from technical difficulties, Crossfade’s set was flawless. They continued playing without lead guitarist Les on So Far Away, not missing a beat despite the sound issues. Their hour long set included the new, darker songs from “We All Bleed” as well as the hits that gave them their start, Colors, Cold, and So Far Away.

There seem to be fewer and fewer bands out there that truly love what they do. The entire band had wide grins on their faces for most of the set, clearly savoring every moment of the show. Afterwards they asked the audience to join them at the merch booth to sign autographs, take pictures, and have a drink with them.–a great way to end an awesome show.
