“Shroud of Despondency is one of those U.S. black metal acts whose very existence justifies the term, while simultaneously defying the pretensions and conventions surrounding the oft-pigeonholed genre. The band proudly incorporates a myriad of non-metal influences into their evocative sound, with the end results sounding proudly unique and full of personality. A band to watch in 2011.” – Metal Army America

“What is presented to the listener here is black metal the way it should be – a balance of all emotions, cold, bleak yet almost heartwarming and uplifting at times.”

– Heavy Metal Tribune

“The material on Objective: Isolation is a nice mixture of modern day Black Metal. The material is great. A worthwhile adventure for your money.”- Apoch’s Metal Review

“An interesting concoction of styles brewed into a cocktail of refreshing black metal.” -Battle Helm

“With the same degree of experiment, of brutality and direct sound without guidelines, “Objective: Isolation” is the best album created so far by these black metallers.”

– Queens of Steel (9/10)
